(FORT WAYNE) - A late evening fire forced the evacuation of a Lakeside Nursing Center.
Firefighters arrived at the facility Friday night and found smoke coming from the attic. Residents had already been evacuated to another wing of the building, but the blaze forced them to be taken to other centers in the city for temporary housing.
The blaze was under control within 45 minutes and was determined to be electrical in nature.
No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation.
