Police Warn Of Power Utility Scam

(BATESVILLE) - Batesville Police are warning utility customers against a scam.

Somebody posing as a power company employee has been making calls demanding payment within a matter of hours.

The caller encourages targeted victims to buy a pre-paid debit card. The funds are loaded to the card immediately and the caller takes the cash.

If you have a question about your bill, the police in Batesville suggest you call your local power company.
