Men Say They Were Wrongfully Fired

Last updated on Sunday, June 23, 2013

(COLUMBUS) - Two former employees of the community corrections office say they were wrongfully terminated earlier this month.

Hollie Brown and John C. Jordan say they were not given reasons for their termination. The pair picketed outside the Bartholomew County Community Corrections Building with homemade signs Thursday.

The Bartholomew County Community Corrections Building is located at 540 First St. in Columbus.

The Republic say the two claim the county agency violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin.
