(ANDERSON) - A man accused of posing as a police officer to try to rape a woman was given 3 years incarceration Thursday.
Terry Lee Duckworth pleaded guilty to sexual battery, a Class D felony last month . He was originally arrested on a number of charges, including attempted rape.
The court's sentence to 3 years will be fully executed in Indiana Department of Correction.
Duckworth was arrested in September in connection to a July incident. A woman told police she was walking with her 1-year-old when Duckworth approached her pretending to be a police officer. He followed the woman home and offered her money. He broke into her home and attacked her - threatening to arrest her if she didn't cooperate.
