Man Charged In Killing Girlfriend

Last updated on Saturday, June 22, 2013

(CROWN POINT) - A northwest Indiana man has been charged with fatally stabbing his girlfriend during a knife fight.

The Times reports 32-year-old Charles Henry admitted to police he stabbed Brittany Peters during a fight June 15 in Peters' Crown Point apartment.

Henry was severely injured in the fight. He was under police guard at a hospital Thursday, the day a Lake County Jail officer said prosecutors filed murder charges against him. Henry suffered a severed jugular vein, but investigators suspect he cut himself.

Police say investigators' findings didn't match Henry's story of a mutual fight.

Investigators say a recent post on Henry's site social networking site said he watched the television show "CSI" to learn how to kill someone without getting caught.
