Indianapolis Police Looking For Bank Robbers

Last updated on Friday, June 14, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The search is on for robbers who hit an Indiana Members Credit Union on Indianapolis’ east side Thursday morning.

The FBI and Indianapolis police talked to employees and other witnesses shortly after the robbery at the credit union near the intersection of Mitthoeffer Road and Washington Street.

Police said the two men who robbed the credit union fled in a car that was later found.

The men were wearing long wigs and carrying guns, investigators said.

A customer said he was inside the credit union when the robbers came in.

The credit union was closed in the aftermath of the robbery. Customers said the same branch had been robbed earlier this year.
