Gov Pence Urges Vets To Register Businesses With State

Last updated on Tuesday, June 11, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mike Pence wants the state of Indiana to do more business with military veterans.

Pence says that beginning July 1, the state will implement a goal to contract 3 percent of its work with veteran-owned small businesses. He's encouraging veterans now to register their companies with the state.

A new state law requires the Indiana Department of Administration to procure at least 3 percent of state contracts with veteran-owned small businesses.

Pence says veteran-owned businesses that are not registered with agency should go to this website to become registered vendors.
