Last updated on Monday, June 24, 2013

(KENDALLVILLE) - Authorities say swimmers and medics successfully revived a 3-year-old boy pulled from underwater at a northeastern Indiana lake.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the boy is being treated at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne and is expected to make a full recovery. His name has not been released.

It says the boy was in Bixler Lake in Kendallville about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when he went underwater. He was unresponsive when a nearby swimmer pulled him from the water. People at the scene performed CPR on the boy until medics arrived.

A 5-year-old boy died after being found floating in Bixler Lake on June 16.

Kendallville is about 25 miles north of Fort Wayne.
