WWII Post Card Finally Arrives To Destination

Last updated on Wednesday, May 29, 2013

(PERU) - A postcard written by a soldier during World War II has been received by his family in northern Indiana.

Private Joseph Brough of Peru, Indiana wrote the card before his airplane went down in the Pacific Ocean in 1944.

A man said he purchased the postcard on Ebay last year and spent a year trying to find Brough's family.

He finally wrote a letter to the Peru newspaper asking for help and a classmate of Brough's son connected him with the family.
