(KOKOMO) - A woman has pleaded guilty to charges of trying to sell more than 100 bronze vases stolen from two central Indiana cemeteries.

RTV6 reports that a Howard County judge on Wednesday accepted an agreement under which 33-year-old Amanda Edwards of Kokomo pleaded guilty to two felony charges of receiving stolen property. The Kokomo Tribune reports prosecutors dropped two other charges.

Edwards was ordered to pay nearly $9,500 in restitution, along with in-home detention and probation.

Police say 152 bronze memorial vases valued about $350 each were stolen over a period of time from Sunset Memory Garden and Kokomo Memorial Park.

Edwards told police she found the vases dumped and suspected they were stolen. But she told officers she sold them to a salvage yard because she was desperate for money.
