(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two passengers were found with guns at Indianapolis International Airport within 13 hours of each other, security officials said.

Just after 4 p.m. Thursday, a loaded.38-caliber revolver was found in the carryon of Todd A. Walsh, 49, of Indianapolis, according to a police report.

Walsh, who was headed to Brazil, told police he usually carries the backpack to and from work, and said he must have forgotten to remove his gun.

He did have a permit for the weapon, police said,

Walsh was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of a weapon in an airport.

About 13 hours later, just after 5 a.m. Friday, a loaded .40-caliber pistol was found in another passenger's carryon bag, prompting another arrest, security officials said.

Airport spokesman Carlo Bertolini said a police report in that case would not be ready until Saturday. No further information was released about the incident.

The news comes a day after a man Houston police said was bent on suicide, or what's known as suicide by cop, opened fire inside a busy Houston airport terminal.

Investigators say 29-year-old Carnell Marcus Moore of Beaumont shot himself in the head with a 40-caliber pistol Thursday afternoon after shooting into the ceiling at a Bush Intercontinental Airport terminal. A homeland security agent in the terminal also shot and wounded him when Moore refused to drop his weapon.

Authorities said Friday that Moore had an AR-15 rifle with ammunition in a bag he was carrying. From a suicide note he left behind, they believe he was not planning to hurt others. No one else was injured
