Suspects In Deadly Bank Robbery Face Felony Charges

Last updated on Saturday, May 18, 2013

(PLAINFIELD) - Two suspects in a deadly bank robbery in Plainfield now face federal charges.

Federal prosecutors say Demetrius Worley and Lori Armstrong were part of a team of bank robbers they'd been investigating. They tracked their car to the State Bank of Lizton in Plainfield.

That's when prosecutors say the trio struck again on Friday , and led police on a chase.

A third suspect, William McKnight, was shot and killed when investigators say he wouldn't drop his weapon.

Court documents indicate Worley was on parole for a bank robbery conviction, and McKnight visited him while he was still in prison.
