Man Arrested With Three Meth Labs In Backpacks

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A man has been arrested after he was found with three backpacks containing components of a meth lab at a local Burger King.

The Wayne Township Fire Department and Hazmat crews were called to the Burger King located at 7430 Rockville Road. Police had found what they believed to be components of a meth lab in three backpacks, according to a release.

Police were alerted to the incident after a man acting suspicious was found in the restaurant with the backpacks. Officers found suspicious chemicals in the bag and called for a Hazmat response.

The restaurant was evacuated while the chemicals were sealed.

The man was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

No injuries were reported and the Burger King was given the all clear to open the restaurant.
