Man Arrested After Having Substance Delivered To Recovery Center

(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to a suspicious substance that was dropped off at Fairbanks Recovery Center that sent five people to the hospital.

Police allege that 36-year-old Danny Anderson, told a woman in the parking lot to deliver an envelope to employees around 6:30 p.m. Monday night.

When employees opened the envelope they found a crystal-like substance inside and called police .

Haz Mat crews were called to gather the substance

Five people - four employees and a police officer - were taken to Community North Hospital after suffering skin irritation they were treated and released.

Police tested the substance and did not detect any hazardous material although tests were determined inconclusive. The substance was sent to the state lab for further investigation. Results are pending.

After detectives interviewed several witnesses, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Violent Crime Unit and Arson/Bomb Squad served a search warrant on Anderson's home. He was arrested without incident Wednesday.

Anderson was preliminary charged with making terroristic threats, a Class B felony, and intimidation, a Class D felony.
