(BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY) - Armed law enforcement officers are coming to high school hallways in Bartholomew County.
Legislation signed into law this month dedicates as much as $50,000 to each school district across the state.
The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation will receive the money for two years because it has more than 1,000 students.
The legislation is in response to the shooting at Sandy Hook, which killed 20 elementary school students and six adults.
The officers will be in the hallways as early as August.
