(JACKSON COUNTY) - A 61-year-old woman drowned in southern Indiana on Friday.
The Jackson County Sheriff said the woman lost control of her vehicle around noon and drove into a pond. It was off of U.S. 31 on Comiskey Pike, near the Jennings/Jackson county line.
Although the woman was able to call 911 and deputies responded within three minutes, rescue crews weren't able to get to her in time.
