(BRAZIL) - Two people died Friday night, after the car in which they were riding went off the road and crashed into a tree.

Jaclyn Bevis, of WTHI reports, Darrell Moore, 18, and Alexis Holbert-Darkins, 20, were both pronounced dead by the Clay County Coroner's office.

The driver of the car, Kelsey Reid, 19, of Carbon was taken to a Brazil, Indiana hospital. Reid tested negative for drugs and alcohol.

The investigation revealed that the car was traveling south on County Road 300 East. The car continued straight when the road began to curve. The vehicle hit two trees before flipping and landing on its roof.

Reid told Deputies she was traveling a little too fast when the accident happened.

The crash remains under investigation.
