Three Arrested In Connection Of Gunpoint Robbery

Last updated on Tuesday, April 23, 2013

(TERRE HAUTE) - Police have arrested three people accused of robbing four men at gunpoint at a Terre Haute apartment Friday night.

Joe Astrouski of WTHI reports that Khalid Jackson, 20, Dexter Hoskins, 21, and Felice Brown, 20, face preliminary charges of robbery.

On Friday, police responded to a call in the 800 block of 6 ½ Street. Four men told police that they had been entering an apartment when two men wearing hooded sweatshirts robbed them at gunpoint. They said the men then hit them over the heads and held them at gunpoint on the apartment floor.

The victims told police the two robbers stole a video game system, a laptop computer, cell phones, a backpack and cash. They also reported seeing a female hanging out outside the apartment.

Officers at Indiana State University reported seeing two men matching the description of the robbers entering a residence hall on campus. A student worker told police that a woman resident signed the two men into the building and went to a room on the third floor. Two women in the room gave permission for a search.

Inside the room, police reported finding items matching the description of those reported stolen. Meanwhile, police brought two of the alleged victims to the residence hall, where each identified Jackson as one of the robbers, though they said they could not tell whether Hoskins was the other robber.

When interviewed by police, Jackson admitted to taking part in the robbery and told them Hoskins and Brown had also been involved, according to court documents.

All three were arrested and appeared in court over the weekend.
