Storm Sparks Boone And Hamilton County Fires

(UNDATED) - While thunderstorms rumbled across Central Indiana, fire crews were busy in Boone and Hamilton Counties with house fires that were sparked by lightning strikes.

Two house fires were reported in Fishers, one in the 10400 block of Woods Edge fire officials say had flames showing when they arrived on scene.

The second house fire in the 900 block of west 116th Street in Carmel had smoke showing when they arrived.

Another home in Carmel in the 2500 block of Sutton Drive was struck by lightning and sparked a fire in the attic of the house.

Zionsville Fire officials were called to the 1100 block of Huntington Woods Point around 1 a.m. but had no word on damage to the home.

No injuries were reported with any of the house fires.
