(BOONE COUNTY) - Boone County Commissioners have declared a State of Emergency due to rising floodwaters.
Shelters have been set up for people who've been flooded out of their homes at Harney Elementary in Lebanon and Zionsville Christian Church. Zionsville Police said 15 houses had been evacuated.
Eagle Creek is near historic levels, cresting at about 16 feet. That's the second-highest level ever, next to a record 19 feet in 1957.
The county is under a Warning Travel Status, which means travel is restricted to emergency personnel. Schools are closed, and emergency officials are telling people to stay inside unless absolutely necessary.
Several roads are closed or impassable due to high water. There are two ways out of Zionsville at the moment: 975E to the north and Oak Street (old 334) to the West.

Turkeyfoot Rd CLOSED between Mulberry St and Oak Ridge Dr
Temple Ave CLOSED between Willow Rd and
Irongate Dr CLOSED at Oak St Entrance - Oak St is OPEN
CR 200S CLOSED between 900E to just West of Eagle Creek
Ford Rd CLOSED north and south at 96th - intersection of 96th Ford Rd flooded
Willow Rd CLOSED south of Becker Dr to Elm Ln
550S/Templin Rd CLOSED between Willow Rd and US421
4644 Pebblepoint Pass to Windpoint Pass CLOSED
Mayflower Park Dr CLOSED from 106th St to 96th St
