Last updated on Friday, April 5, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - One person was airlifted to the hospital after a high-speed chase that ended in a crash.

Police said the chase began on the northeast side of Indianapolis and ended in Fortville.

The person was trapped under the car after it flipped, officials said.

Police have not released the identity of the victim, who was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital.

Fortville officer Matt Fox, who is back on the job after being shot during a traffic stop in July , responded to the crash scene.

Few details about the circumstances of the chase were immediately released, but police said the victim was driving a stolen vehicle.
