(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police have a suspected drunk driver in custody after an early morning crash near Grandview Drive and North Michigan Road.

Officers say Darrell Perkins, a firefighter from Dayton, was heading back to his hotel around 12:30 Thursday morning. They say he was leaving the firefighter convention in downtown Indianapolis, when his truck was hit by another vehicle.

Perkins was taken to Methodist Hospital in good condition. The driver of the other vehicle, Shannon Hotop, is being held while investigators figure out if alcohol was involved.
