(KOKOMO,) - Two Indiana doctors facing felony charges connected to a clinic where state officials say at least a dozen patients died from drug-related complications have agreed to stop prescribing controlled substances.
The attorney general's office said Friday that the Indiana Medical Licensing Board has approved the agreements with Dr. Robert Brewer and Dr. William Terpstra. Both doctors practiced at the Wagoner Medical Center, which has offices in Kokomo and Burlington. Two other center doctors already signed similar agreements.
None could be reached for comment Saturday.
Earlier this month, the Howard County prosecutor filed 95 felony counts against nine employees of the center, including the four doctors. None of them are charged with causing the patients' deaths.
At a hearing Thursday, Judge William Menges ordered each defendant to not practice medicine.
