Crash Sends Trooper To Hospital

(HAGERSTOWN) - A two vehicle crash in Wayne County sent an Indiana State Trooper to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release from the Indiana State Police, the trooper was traveling north on SR 1 with his lights on, responding to a separate incident.

The trooper approached two vehicles that were slowing. He drove into the southbound lanes to pass the two vehicles, but one of the vehicles turned left into his lane. He was unable to stop in time and struck the corner of the vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash. The trooper was transported by ambulance to Reid Hospital in Richmond for non-life threatening injuries.
