Last updated on Monday, April 8, 2013

(JOHNSON COUNTY) - Authorities in Johnson County responded to a home invasion Saturday morning where the suspect told officers he was chased into the home to scare its homeowners.

WISH TV8 reports that officers responded to a residence on the 4000 block of Tarry Lane after hearing reports that the homeowner was fighting with someone in the home.

When police arrived, they quickly detained 54-year-old Scottie Allen Turner, who told officers he had suffered injuries from his encounter with the homeowner, according to a police report.

Officers learned from the homeowner that his wife walked into a room in the home and said there was someone in the house. The two heard something downstairs and located Turner.

The homeowner forced Turner to the ground and waited for police to arrive. Turner told police he was sent to the residence to scare the homeowners and was chased inside to get away from two men.

Turner was booked into the Johnson County Jail.
