Two Hospitalized After I-465 Semi Crash

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two people are in the hospital after their semi-tractor trailer lost control and landed in the water along a Indianapolis highway.

Jim Scott, of WISH TV8 reports, this happened around 11 pm Tuesday on Interstate 465 westbound near East Street.

Indiana State Police say a minivan collided with a semi-tractor trailer when the minivan tried to change lanes.

The semi lost control.. and landed in the ditch in the median.

Dive crews were called to rescue two adults who were trapped inside the semi's cab.. which was partially submerged in water.

They were taken to Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A lane of westbound I-465 was closed for several hours overnight as crews removed the semi.
