Teen Dies After Car Collides With ISP Cruiser

(SOUTH BEND) - A 19-year-old northern Indiana man has died from injuries he suffered when his car collided with an Indiana State Police cruiser.

The South Bend Tribune and WSBT-TV report that 19-year-old Robert Perez of Mishawaka died Sunday.

State police said at the time that Perez's car entered a rural St. Joseph County intersection March 7 and was struck by the cruiser driven by Trooper William Ennis with its siren and emergency lights on. The 32-year-old Ennis suffered a broken ankle.

A passenger in Perez's car, 20-year-odl Danielle Cutler of South Bend, also was injured in crash. She was released from a hospital last week.
