Police Find Pot In Car Going 105 MPH

(WARRICK COUNTY) - Troopers who stopped a vehicle for traveling 105 mph found one-pound of marijuana in the car's spare tire area.

State Police in Warrick County stopped a vehicle on Interstate 64 that was traveling 105 mph Thursday afternoon.

During an inspection on the vehicle, troopers became suspicious of illegal drug activity and called for a K-9 unit. The K-9 officer alerted troopers to the presence of drugs in the car.

Troopers found one-pound of marijuana in the spare tire area - it was wrapped in shrink wrap, duct tape and dryer sheets.

Additional marijuana was found in the female passenger's pants.

Troopers arrested one passenger, Nathaniel Stillwell, 26, on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, over 30 grams, a Class D felony.

Also arrested was 30-year-old Talisha Hubbard, the second passenger. She faces preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, under 30 grams, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

Both were taken to the Warrick County Jail.

The driver, Lynette Hubbard, was not arrested. She was cited for speeding and released, according to a release.
