(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two homes were destroyed Monday after a woman set her house on fire, she told IFD.

WISH TV8 reports, police were called to the 1310 block of Medford Ave just before 7 a.m. on report of a building fire.

According to a release from IFD, the woman knocked on her neighbors door and told him to get out of his house because she just set hers on fire. The woman, later identified as Terrylyn Crumpten, told the man that she lit some papers on fire using the stove.

IFD crews were able to control the fire within ten minutes, although both Crumpten and her neighbor were left without homes.
