Anderson Man Arrested After Admitting Molesting Girls

(ANDERSON) - A homeless man was arrested after police said he admitted to molesting two young sister.

FOX59 reports, Ziemel Gilmore-Santos, 20, was charged with three counts of child molesting and one count of intimidation.

Anderson police began investigating after receiving a report from the Department of Child Services on Feb. 20. They said a 6-year-old girl told officials Gilmore-Santos had been sexually touching her and her 9-year-old sister.

Police said the alleged incidents began around January 1.

In a follow-up interview with the 6-year-old girl, police said the girl revealed Gilmore-Santos threatened to kill the girls' mother if they told anyone about the molestation.

Gilmore-Santos was transported to the Madison County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
