Last updated on Friday, February 22, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club have been sentenced to federal prison.

The US Attorney's Office says US District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt sentenced 49-year-old Kent Whitinger of Indianapolis to 87 months in prison. 38-year-old Steve Reynolds of Fort Wayne will spend 70 months behind bars.

The sentences come after guilty pleas were entered for their roles in the illegal operations of the club. Whitinger admitted he engaged in money laundering, gambling, extortion, witness tampering and cocaine distribution. Reynolds admitted to extortion and distribution of prescription drugs.

In all, over 50 alleged members of the motorcycle gang have been charged with various offenses.

In addition to their prison terms, both men will face five years of supervised release once they leave prison.
