(INDIANAPOLIS) - Memorial services continue this week for the two EMTs killed in a crash involving their ambulance over the weekend.
Family, friends and colleagues gathered at Crown Hill Cemetery Monday to remember Private Tim McCormick after the crash that took his life and the life of Specialist Cody Medley.
Sue Shepherd, a colleague of McCormick, says she's still trying to get over the loss of her coworkers. Shepherd says she appreciates the outpouring of support from the community for McCormick and Medley and also for their those in the Department of Public Safety mourning the loss of their coworkers.
Damien Dyer, an ambulance driver in Lafayette, brought his children to the memorial site at Saint Clair and Senate in downtown Indianapolis where the crash occurred. Dyer, who has been in an ambulance accident himself, says it serves as a reminder of the dangers of the job.
A private service will be held today for McCormick at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. Another will be held Friday for Medley.
However, a memorial service for both men will be open to the public on Wednesday at 10 a-m at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University.
