(ANDERSON) - Police in Anderson are looking for a masked man who robbed an Americana Bank with a handgun Wednesday morning.

Anderson police say the masked man approached a teller's station and passed over a note demanding money. He did not use a weapon, but police say it was clear he was armed, The Herald Bulletin reports.

The driver fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car on Interstate 69. That person was questioned and cleared.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
