(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 20-year-old man has been arrested on preliminary murder charges following the death of his girlfriend’s 4-month-old baby.
IMPD Homicide Detectives arrested Jared Tapley on Saturday.
Officers were called to the 3600 block of North Euclid Avenue on Thursday. A male caller said an infant at the home was not breathing.
Detectives were informed of suspicious injuries on the child after the infant arrived to the hospital.
The 4-month-old died Saturday afternoon.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Jared Tapley was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail and is awaiting formal charges.
