(INDIANAPOLIS) - A head-on-crash between a Chevy Silverado and Chevy Tahoe claimed the life of one person and injured three others.
WISH TV8 reports, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near East 82nd Street by I-465. This is on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Officials say witnesses reported seeing the Tahoe driving at a high rate of speed, cross the median and hit the Silverado head-on.
When responding crews arrived on scene, they had to extricate the patients from the vehicle
Three people were transported to the hospital. One man, a passenger of the car that crossed the center line, was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Alcohol is not believed to have contributed to the crash.
