Last updated on Friday, February 1, 2013

(GARY) - Police say two teenagers suspected of robbing a northwestern Indiana home died after their car crashed into two trees during a high-speed police chase.

Seventeen-year-old Ronnie Arthurs of Chicago and 19-year-old Andre Carradine of Gary were pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday morning. The cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The Post-Tribune reports a third suspect also in the car was injured and flown to a Chicago hospital. That man has not been identified.

Gary police officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress Wednesday morning. The Times of Munster reports an officer who arrived at the scene saw three men in a car with Illinois license plates speed away.
