Woman Sentenced For 2012 Arson

Last updated on Tuesday, January 29, 2013

(TERRE HAUTE) - A Vigo County woman is sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges she set fire to a home in January 2012.

Police arrested Kenna Cooper in February 2012 on allegations she set fire to a South Center Street house that had been turned into apartments. Investigators believe Cooper started the fire after getting into a fight with her husband.

Initially, Cooper had been charged both with Arson and with being a habitual offender. As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Cooper pleaded guilty to arson and the habitual offender charge was dropped.

Cooper, who is also known as Kenna Henry, has faced other arson charges in the past.
