(SPENCER COUNTY) - Indiana State Police found 2-week-old Jacob Alexander Black after he was taken from his legal legal guardians by his biological mother.

Saturday at 1:30 p.m. the Santa Claus Police Department responded to 884 W. Shepherd's Lane, after a report of a possible child abduction and stolen vehicle. After taking the initial information Santa Claus Police called for assistance from the Indiana State Police.

ISP Public Information Trooper Chad Dick says Jacob's biological mother,21-year-old Carrie J. Black, of Tell City had gone to her parents, the legal guardians of Jacob, for a supervised visit. During that visit Carrie was left alone in part of the house with Jacob. That is when Carrie took Jacob, some of her parent's credit cards and their tan 1997 Toyota Camry four door and left the area.

Since leaving her parents house, Carrie, Jacob and Jacob's father, 22-year-old Randy R. Black, of Tell City, were last seen in the Owensboro, KY, Wal-Mart on State Route 54 at approximately 4:11 p.m. Saturday.

The 1997 tan Toyota Camry is described as having silver tape on the passenger side window and the wheel covers missing on the passenger's side. The vehicle's registration plate is IN, 589BCW.

Police did not believe Jacob was in danger, but he needed to be returned to his legal guardians. Police believed the three were en route to Lagrange, GA. where Randy has family.

But on Sunday at approximately 3 p.m. Carrie and Randy turned themselves in at the Dale Police Department. They also had Jacob - who was safe and sound.

Jacob was turned over to Child Protection Services and then reunited with his legal guardians.

Carrie and Randy were both and taken to the Spencer County Jail.

The 1997 Toyota and credit cards were also returned.
