(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police shot a suspect in a home-invasion robbery on Indianapolis’ south side Sunday morning.
TheIndyChannel.com staff reports that the shooting happened just after 11 a.m. in the 200 block of Bakemeyer Street.
Police said a man armed with a handgun robbed a home there.
Officers arrived just as the man was leaving the home. Gunfire was exchanged, and the man was shot.
No officers were injured.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
