Man Charged With Battery After Receiving Wrong Sandwich

Last updated on Thursday, December 13, 2012

(JENNINGS COUNTY) - A Jennings County man was recently charged with battery after allegedly throwing a bag of food at a fast food restaurant clerk and throwing a punch at the clerk because the restaurant didn’t give him the right sandwich.

Columbus Police spokesperson Lt. Matt Myers told our news gathering partners at "The Republic" 49-year-old Kendall Clark, of North Vernon, had placed a takeout order at McDonald's on National Road, but the restaurant made an error with the sandwich, based on statements by police.

Myers says Clark became angry when the restaurant offered to replace just the sandwich rather than the whole order.
