Last updated on Sunday, December 9, 2012

(TEXAS) - Former Indianapolis Colt and current Dallas Cowboy Jerry Brown, 25, was killed early Saturday morning in an automobile accident.

Teammate Josh Price-Brent was driving and is being charged with intoxicated vehicular manslaughter.

According to police reports Brent was driving at a high rate when he hit the outside curb on Route 114 in Texas, causing the vehicle to flip at least once and then come to rest in the middle of a service road.

Brown went to training camp this season with the Colts and had 10 tackles in the preseason before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad. Brown played in one regular season game for Indianapolis, in the Colts 35-9 loss to the New York Jets in week six.

After being placed on the practice squad, Brown's contract was terminated and he was later signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
