Cat Shot And Killed By Arrow

Last updated on Friday, December 14, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The owners of a cat shot and killed with an arrow Wednesday night are hoping for some answers.

Teresa Mackin of WISH TV8 reports that the incident happened in the 6400 block of Arbor Oak Drive on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Amanda Golay says she heard it all happen on her front porch.

Police reports show the arrow went through a leg and the cat's chest. The cat was four-years-old, and named Chunk.

Golay says she didn't have the $500-dollars it would cost for emergency surgery that night, so she was waiting until the morning to take him to a cheaper vet. He died overnight.

She's not sure who shot and killed her cat, but she's hoping to find them.

Police are turning the case over to Animal Care and Control officers. If you find any evidence, or have any idea about who may have done this, you can call Animal Care and Control.
