Last updated on Wednesday, November 7, 2012

(VIGO COUNTY) - The police investigation into a dead body found over the weekend near the Clay-Vigo county line is now a homicide investigation.

Dr. Roland Kohr conducted an autopsy and says the unidentified female died from blunt force trauma to the head.

He adds the woman had been dead for at least one month.

Kohr is working with a forensic etymologist for a more exact time of death.

The woman is described as a white female between 20 and 40 years old.

She had brown hair in cornrows and wore black pants and dark shoes.

A fisherman found her body on a gravel road a mile north of State Road 42 Saturday night.

If you have information about this woman, please contact the Vigo County Sheriff's Department.
