Terre Haute Man Sentenced To 110 Years For Murder

Last updated on Monday, November 12, 2012

(TERRE HAUTE) - A Terre Haute man will spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to murder.

An Owen County judge sentenced 22 year old Michael Joyner to 110 years in prison.

Joyner pleaded guilty to two counts of murder, armed robbery, criminal confinement and carrying a handgun without a license.

The charges stem from the deaths of Randy Bohannon of Owen County and Brandon Hyde of Terre Haute.

Their bodies were found in a home on State Road 46 near Bowling Green back on March 3rd of 2011.

State Police say Joyner bought from Hyde a car that had something wrong with it.

Joyner took Hyde at gunpoint to Bohannon's home, where the murders occurred.

Owen County's Prosecutor says without the efforts of law enforcement, this outcome may not have been possible.
