Last updated on Saturday, November 10, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A man who crashed his car into a southeast Indianapolis home late Thursday offered the homeowner pizza as a consolation.

Indianapolis Metro Police Department officers said the crash happened just after 10 p.m. in the 7900 block of Cross Willow Boulevard near Brookville and Franklin roads.

William Kise, 41, told police he drank five beers while waiting for pizza at a friend's house. He drove from the friend's house while eating a slice when his foot became stuck on the gas pedal, police said.

Unable to brake, Kise crashed into the home.

According to the police report, the homeowner said he felt his house shake. He walked in his garage where he found a 2004 Ford Mustang. Kise stepped out of the car and offered the homeowner pizza, police said.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a pizza box and a bottle of hot sauce in the back of the car.

Kise was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and reckless driving.
