Tips Leads To Arrest In Clerk's Abduction Case

(MOORESVILLE) - A Crime Stoppers tip led to an overnight arrest in connection with the abduction of a gas station clerk earlier this week, Mooresville police said.

Kelly Joe "Boomer" Gibson Jr. was arrested early Friday morning. Police said he had stolen property in his possession.

He is is also believed responsible for an abduction of an employee at the Circle K gas station on Ind. 67 on October 15th, police said.

Gibson has been preliminarily charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, theft and carjacking.
