(MECCA) - A Terre Haute, man was airlifted to an Indianapolis Hospital after suffering injuries to his lower extremities in an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) accident on Saturday afternoon.
Richard W. Navel, 65, of Terre Haute was airlifted to Methodist Hospital after losing control of his ATV while riding in Mecca.
According to an Indiana Conservation report, Navel was riding northbound on Coxville Road in Parke County when he crashed
Navel, traveling alone at the time of the accident, was participating in a benefit ATV ride for Riley Children's Hospital.
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the accident.
