(GREENWOOD) - Greenwood firefighters extinguish a fire outside a business on the city's south side Tuesday morning.

Crews were dispatched to an industrial park near East Stop 18 Road and US 31 South around 1:30 a.m.

Initial calls to dispatchers reported a fire near the loading dock of Lighting Solutions, a business in the 400 block of Park 800 Drive.

Firefighters arrived and determined a pallet stacked with 5-gallon buckets containing batteries somehow caught fire slightly damaging the exterior of the building.

They were initially concerned of possible contamination due to the burning batteries, however no contamination was found.
