Sunday's Colts Game Against Jaguars Could Be Blacked Out

Last updated on Thursday, September 20, 2012

(INDIANAPOLI) - Wednesday morning, there were 900 tickets available for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.

FOX59 reports, at 5 p.m., the number was down to 500 tickets, but that's still too many to prevent a black out.

According to NFL rules, the game must sell out 72 hours before kickoff.

While the Jacksonville Jaguars usually don't draw a big crowd, the Colts are hoping last weekend's success will bring people to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Colts fans say they are confident there will be no blackout and by the deadline either sometime tomorrow or by the latest early Friday morning, and there will be no blackout against Jacksonville on Sunday.

The Colts could ask for an extension.

Last week, the NFL agreed to a one-day delay when the San Diego Chargers still had 2,100 tickets to sell.

The Colts could also buy the remaining tickets for 34 cents on the dollar and then give them away.

The NFL deadline is 1 p.m. today.

The next home game, which is against the Packers, is already virtually sold out.
