Semi And Pick-Up Truck Collide Leaving One Dead

(INDIANAPOLIS) - One person is dead following a head-on crash on Indianapolis' west side.

Wayne Township firefighters and Metro Police officers were dispatched to Rockville Road and Gasoline Alley around 4:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police arrived to find a semi and pick-up truck involved in a serious accident.

Officers on scene report the driver of the pick-up, an unidentified male, died at the scene.

The driver of the semi survived the crash and is cooperating with police.

According to investigators, the semi driver says he tried to avoid hitting the pick-up but couldn't, resulting in the head-on collision.
